What it is

What is a building inspection?

It is a technical survey of the real condition of a property carried out by architects experienced in building defects. The inspection is visual, with no destructive testing, and tells you what is wrong with the building and why.

It will tell us, for example, whether a crack could compromise the structure, what the most likely cause of a damp patch is, or whether there are signs of aluminosis. With that information you can make sound decisions before spending money on works.

What we check

  • Structure: load-bearing walls, floor slabs, beams and deformations
  • Damp and associated defects
  • Deteriorated finishes and elements at risk of falling
  • Electrical, plumbing and HVAC installations
  • Roofs, façades, windows and doors
  • Possible unlicensed works or regulatory non-compliance

We deliver it within 3 to 5 working days of the visit, and we can meet with you to explain it.

We can identify signs of aluminosis during the visit. Confirming it requires laboratory tests, which we help you commission.

Yes. If needed, we draw up the repair or strengthening project, apply for the permits and manage the works.
