What it is
What is an energy performance certificate?
The energy performance certificate assesses a property’s energy consumption and CO₂ emissions and gives it a rating from A (most efficient) to G (least efficient). It takes into account the building envelope, orientation, building services and the demand for heating, cooling and hot water.
It is mandatory for selling or letting homes and commercial premises, and the label must already appear in listings. It is also required when applying for energy retrofit grants.

What it includes
An official certificate and useful advice

An architect visits the property and records data on the building envelope and services.

We model the property with recognised software such as CE3X or HULC.

We tell you which measures would improve the rating and in what order to carry them out.

We enter the certificate in the official register and give you the label.
